Great part of the world..make sure you drive up to Brindabella homestead..the drive along the river is stunning..

Canberra, Brindabella, Tumut and Tatangara 1:100000 maps should work

richard k thank u for the map references ive been just looking at them now. do u think that the road from 'picadilly circus' through to the point of brindabella on the nsw side which has a ''caution in wet weather'' note is suitable for the towing of a jayco hawke with extended towframe also is there overtaking points along the road is itlike ''the barry way''or like the old grafton rd from glen innes to grafton?

You would get the jayco through there easy enough. It is quite narrow and winding and dirt in places but is easily managed with the right amount of caution. It is afterall , a fairly major road.

I dont recall there being overtaking places as such , but there is enough room at various points to let vehicles go around.

Agree with Flappa.. a few narrow spots, road is usually potholed but its fine for 2wd cars unless very wet or snowing..

I used to get thru to Long Plain Rd from Brindabella but its now closed off..think Broken Cart trail is the road you now take if going down to Rules Point..great drive..

Enjoy!

I cant remember the road that leads from Tumut rd to Broken Cart Trail ?

Depending on logging conditions to how good that road is.
