Hi all
I am looking for a
bush camping spot in N.S.W near a river that has good fishing and I want to
camp as close to the river as possible. I would like to be able to have a fire and I'm looking for somewhere no further than 3 hours from
Sydney. If anybody has any suggestions of good spots it would be greatly appreciated.

Simmo if you go to the
places section on here and type in
Gradys Riverside Retreat, you will come up with some info on a great Bass fishing spot at this time of year. It's two and a half to three hrs sth of
Sydney, depending on traffic.
Merry Xmas

Simmo,
Try Wollondilly River Station.
Just 40k's on the eastern side of Mittagong.
Google the website.

I realise it is a fair bit further north, but Google up "Pub crawls on Horseback", then look at the B&B section.
We have camped along their river (need 4wd to get over the mountain) but tremendous
riverside camp spots.
Abundant firewood, but need your own dunny arrangements. (was told chemical preferred, but good deep hole quite ok)
We only caught redfin to about 1+ kg. but did have a good cod on for about 30secs!
The bonus was the tranquility of the place, plenty of
deer and goats running around the place.
Steve & Alison great hosts. We will be back there again for certain.

Hi Simmo25 haven't been up there yet but have heard Turon Gates up near
Capertee is Quite nice with
camping on the river and some bass fishing in the Turon river.
Just google the name and you should get their web site.
Cheers
Clint
