iHi everyone,
I need your help justifying me sitting on this site so much so hear goes. Husband wants to know if any forumites are using a v8 petrol landcuiser for towing for vans between 1.5 and 3t. If so what fuel consumption per 100ks. You have to help me because I keep sprouting all the info you guys give me so I have to justify sitting here reading your replies rather than doing other things I dont know why he should worry I could be sitting in a coffee
shop gossiping instead.

I own a Jayco 16.52 which comes in around 1.7 loaded...give or take.
My last trip
Sydney-
Tamworth-Pt Macquarie-
Sydney saw me come in at 22l/100km
Trip before
Sydney - Euchuca -_Renmark (S.A.) -
Sydney saw me come in around 24l/100km
I usually travel around the 100km/h mark, but got up around the 130 km/h over the
Hay Plains...ooops...I got carried away :)
I LOVE the car.

You just can't beat a big capacity petrol engine for towing.
Love 'em, even moreso on LPG.

Hi Barbaram
Here is the outline of the fuel consumption for my V8 Landcruiser
Unloaded around town - 20l/100km
Unloaded on highway - 18.5l/100km
Fully loaded with heaps of gear and towing 1.4t boat on highway - 21.5l/100
Fully loaded with same gear and boat on beach - 25l/100km
Best and safest tow vehicle I have driven for my needs (would love to try some of these Chev conversions though).
Cheers
A
