Evening fellow formites,

I'm back safe and sound from Port Stephens where it rained nearly all day today. Has rained here in Tamworth but I have just spoken with Max and Cindy at West Kunderang and Cindy assures me that although Raspberry Road may repeat may be a bit damp the property iyself should be mainly dry. perhaps a shower or two. So if you are thnking about coming down, pack the 4x4 and the camper/caravan and c'mon down.

Weather forecast for Armidale (nearest place that gets a forecast) for the weekend is showers - temps from 14 to 22 so better bring some warm clothes for the evenings and maybe some old shoes for the walk to the loo.
Don't forget the fishing gear.

Looking fwd to meeting all of you tomorrow or Saturday

John

Hey John,
I'm Leaving Sydney between 9 and 10. Have an hour or 2 work at kew, just south of port macq.
Would I go up the oxley highway through Wauhope or head to kempsey and take that road to the rasberry road?
Have not had a look at the map yet.
Looking forward to the weekend too
Peter

Hi Peter

If it were me I'd come up the Kempsey Road - 120 k's or thereabouts. I think that going the Oxley to Walcha and then to Armidale would add at least another 120k's to the drive. Kempsey Road has lots of gravel whereas the Oxley in blacktop all the way.

Cheers

Hi John,

Unfortunately we are going to have to pull out. I had been hoping that it would work out but a daughter who has to be picked up from work at 11 on Saturday night and a better half who has hurt her back have meant we can't get there. A real shame as I was looking forward to meeting a few more forumites.

Tim.

Hi Laura

Sorry that you can't make it make as I said to Tim above, there's always next time.
Sorry I didn't get back re work up this way but as you may have guessed I've been away more of the past 2 weeks than at home.
Only nuisance rain here at moment - it's Festival time so it's sposed to rain and flood in Tamworth anyway hehe
Cheers
