Has any one travelled between Batemans Bay and Mallacoota.I am travelling through this area soon and are looking for places of interest and if any free camping areas

make sure you have a look at the whaling museum in Eden then go around the other side of the bay to Boydtown

Mystery Bay provides a nice camp spot.
Then take the old coast road down through Bermaguie, Tathra then turn off the Bega road direct to Merimbula.

depends how long you have its only a days drive if you dont want to stop or there are plenty of places on or off the highway
bodalla forest roadside stop is nice
get a copy of camps 4 its graet

I got a copy of the Boiling Billy publication about the SE forests and Gippsland yesterday.

It has heaps of trips in that area, most pretty easy.
