Hi Everyone - our first post ...
We are having a little "family outing" to
Innamincka leaving
Sydney on the 29th June - I note that now most of the roads up that way are closed ... once the rain stops, how quickly do the roads open up? Do we need to postpone our trip?
thanks

Don't panic, the roads will dry out with a bit of sun and wind.
This is generally a low rainfall area, so chances are all the roads will be open in a couple of days.
Take some warm clothes to Innaminka, because it will probably be cold.
A bottle of port could be handy.

Yes you need to postpone your trip so that you arrive there for the EO Gathering around the 12th of July. The roads will certainly be open and dried out by then what with all the hot air being expunged by those pesky Queerslanders.
for anyone else, the roads should be open soon providing no more rain falls in the area. Keep an eye out through the various links that are posted on here from time to time on Road Conditions.

If you have a look at
SA Gov - Northern Roads you will notice that virtually all roads are currently open, albeit some with caution (yellow ones)
The only roads closed at present are
Walkers Crossing and
Innamincka to the Border via Arrabury Turnoff.
They should be open again shortly, unless there is further rain.
Although there may be some "puddles" at times, most roads are navigable again, within a few days of dry conditions prevailing.
