Old Strzelecki Track

Don't know current conditions, but went up the old strezlecki a few years ago. Certainly more interesting than the new road. But it was just graded out of the country around the creek and was a fair bit of clay in places, so could be boggy in the wet.

It is a nice run when it is dry. It gets used quite a lot by the fuel industry and you can see the oil pumps working away closeby. In some places it is graded and it others just a track(2005)

We may be taking this route from Cameron Corner to Innamincka as well.

My first preference is the Bore Track, but the last notification is its closed.

Leaving Adelaide Saturday and heading through the Gammon Ranges to Cameron Corner.
Will ring Bollards Lagoon Station Friday for latest update on the Bore Track.

We did the Old Stezlecki from Innamincka to MertiMerti 4 weeks ago. Its a good run - no issues - I prefer it to the Moomba Road, and its shorter.
Its always a dry creek - the only way it fills is in reverse, when the Cooper has a major flood.
