I'm after a pre 1979 4wd in excellent cond, and I've placed an ad here in the
forum ,but can I also ask where I should be looking for this sort of thing ?
Can you please advise which magazines, papers or web sites would be appropriate where vehicles like this are offered?
Many thanks Pete 0413 133233

Only a Landy would last that long ;) Best to check the Australian Landrover Owners Site...

Thanks for your reply Steve
For free? You've lost me , I have no idea what you're on
How do you expect me to value something I've never seen?
Please post or send me some photos, full description, mileage, service history, year model, and price, and I'll let you know whether I think it's worth flying to
Sydney to view
Thanks again ,Pete 0413 133233
PS There are plenty of low mileage (mostly ex
Services) Landys in oz that are far from RS, and possibly better than your FJ40,.........some that I've seen ARE "showroom condition as new".....P

Emus can have first call but if he's not interested, I am in a good FJ40. Contact: donnedx@hotmail.com with details. Is it a wagon or ute model? SWB or long?

Thanks guys, Ive bought a 1974 Land Rover diesel traytop with sides low mileage ex
Broken Hill Station history, which has had $4500 just recently spent on all mechanicals brought up to scratch
Body , tray and tyres are all pretty good ,2months rego, and drives
well for $2000, which I obviously thought was good value. Do you agree?
I would have preferred something like an FJ45 diesel in good nick, but thought maybe these opportunities don't come up too often
I'd still be prepared to buy a good FJ45 or similar, I guess I could always sell the LR for similar money
I'd probably only use the vehicle a few times a year
Cheers Pete 0413 133233
