Hi All,

I am trying to upload some .plt files to plotswap.

What is the largest file size I can upload?

All my gps files are 1 second data and for example the Darling River Run from Bourke to Wentworth is 1.2Mb.

So do I need to reduce the number of points to say every 10 seconds?

Regards
Ross

That should be OK, the limit for each upload is 2MB

Tried but get the following:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FileType - OziExplorer Track Point File Version 2.1
Datum - WGS 84
Expected number of points in file - 0

The mapping parameters are now being computed - Please Wait

Upon completion you will be automatically redirected back to the Plot Index where you can view this map

Number of Point Lines found - 23270

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006'

Overflow: 'CSng'

/PointPlace/PLT/OEPLTtoMap.asp, line 123
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So over to ExploreOz crew I guess.

Or maybe I need to make it smaller.

Cheers
Ross

If it appears to be a system problem it will have to wait till Tuesday - David is competing this weekend in an event in Albany "The Great Southern Adventure Race" (see his blog for a quick overview of what's involved) sorry about that. We'd love to see this file.

Good luck David.

I would suggest that the problem lies in the number of points as the overflow usually indicates a number too big for the variable.

Ross,

The current upload limit is 1MB I do need to amend this however cannot get to it for a few days, Just run the plot through the filter system and use a value of 1 for the filter. This should bring it down and solve it.

We are working on moving plot swap to User Treks and the larger uploads and wpt and rte integration will be a lot better when this is all put together.

David,

Which filter system?

I do not use OziExplorer and have to use gpsbabel to convert them from gpx files to plt file.

David,

Still the same error.

I looks like a variable is not large enough to hold the number of points to me.

From the error message it's variable being assigned to at line 123 in the processing script.

Ross,

It seems to still be truncating the file. Would you please email the file to me and I will run it through the system and debug the issue. Send it to david@exploroz.com thanks.
