I'll second the Arckaringa Station homestead.

Basic but adequate facilities and when we were there a couple of years ago the young couple managing the station were very friendly and accomodating.

Archaringa Station is within an easy drive of the lookout points and this is important as you want somewhere close to relax for the night after experiencing the sunset period.

Have a look at the treknotes below for further details.

Hi mate,
Yeah we stayed at Archaringa Station and it is a nice basic camp area. Bon fire ring and hot showers and toilets and you can have a look around the property. We watched and talked to the young station hands while they were loading trucks with cattle.
Very friendly and worth the small nightly fee
cheers

I was there in December 2003 and did not get the opportunity to camp.

I am about to head back there in May next year and this time I will be camping and really looking forward to seeing both sunrise and sunset.
