Hi Guys,
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2009.
Heading off in April 09 from
Sydney for 5-6 mths with the kids. Have a LC200 and Camprite Camper and think we have sorted out our way to Alice. (
Broken Hill,
Corner Country, Strez Track,
Oodnadatta,
Painted Desert, Mt Dare, Finke, uluru etc and Alice).
Not to sure what way to go from Alice to
Darwin. We are heading off to do the
Gibb River so do not want to back track to much. Was thinking of doing the Binns Track and skipping
Gregory National Park and heading up to
Mataranka once we hit the highway then doing
Kakadu,
Darwin and
Litchfield on the way to the
Gibb River Road.
If anyone has any ideas, would love to hear them. We have three kids (3,5,and 8) so dont want to do long hauls every day.

Greg
Alice, Plenty Hwy, Sandover Hwy, Davenport Ranges, Stuart Hwy to
Tennant Creek, Barkly Hwy,
Rockhampton Downs, Brunette Downs, Tablelands Hwy,
Roper Bar Road(should be open by May), Roper Valley Hwy,
Mataranka to
Darwin
Did that run last year. Lots to see along the way and good bush campsites
Cheers

Thanks Willem this sounds great.
Not knowing all the roads, how long will this take. We have given ourselves about three weeks to get to
Darwin. Does this work?
