Gday Uppy
I just payed $41000 for 2000 model gu 3ltd auto with 88000 on the clock so $28k for 1998 does seem to bad , 38000ks each year seems a bit high but others might not think so.
The 4.2 is good motor so i guess it just depends on who had it & how good of nick its in

Be careful its not EX mines vehicles, they are rooted when they are finished with them....... Sometimes not worth scrap.

I just got an 8th month 2002 model 4.2turbo dx from Gov. auctions for $31 000, it had 65K on the clock, i reckon it was a bargain, unfortunately they took the bull bar off!!, but is all optioned up now.

Mick.
What do you need with a GU? Not a tow vehicle for the Creation is it?? Hows it all going back in 1 piece?
That price and everything sounds a bargain!!
Bloke in club just got a new GU TDi for $64,000. SO $31k for a 12 mth
old car is stunning!
Whats its history? Cops or parks?

Hey truckster,
Yeh upgrade is for towing our truck, but unfortunately all comps are in chaos because of public liability and stuff.
Getting it ready for touring-in style now! Still miss the shortie though.
My GU was bought from
Newcastle Gov auctions, fortunately there was only a few bidders. It was stock, white basic gov looking truck, they striped all their accesories, i guess to fit their next truck.
It came from lismore RTA, and its been treated good-up till now! the poor thing!
My cousin also got one from syd auctions for 30K with winch & bar but wes 2000 model, same K's, still a bargain

Yea I think its time that the Gov does sometihng about insurance with all sports finding it hard.. Kids Footy and stuff is suffering.
You sold ya shorty? Why?!
Hmmm Them
Newcastle auctions sound like the place to go! You could chuck it in the trading post for $40k!

Someone offered me a good price & i was at the point of getting sick of it.
The body work was getting too bad to fix, too many encounters with trees and rocks.
I wish i swapped the engine over and stuck it in my new truck, i miss the power!
