I would like to upgrade to a 2008 Pajero NS GLX in tomorrows auctions.

Realise that the spare tyre has been lowered and centred in late models. We currently use a Hayman Reece load leveller but recognise that this would strike the spare tyre cover .

Is anyone out there running a late model Pajero with a load leveller ?

Is a load leveller and sway bars needed with this towie if we are pulling a 1.4 ton Coromal pop top but intend to upgrade to shower and toilet etc model weighing in at about 2.0 tons plus all the personal and cooking extras

I know that a Pajero genuine bar with bent down goose neck is rated at 2.5 ton and 250kg. It is really the sway bars that I want to know about and if the load leveller is possible.

Regards

If it one of the latest models the specs are now 3000Kg, earlier model 2500Kg.

Lots using HR WDH system. Just watch the clearance as you mention. You may have to drill another hole for the pin.

That method is NOT recommended. Drilling another hole and moving the tongue further out would completely change the geometry of the towbar and would further reduce the TBW, due to the extra leverage of the longer tongue.

You can get a spare wheel lift bracket that raises the wheel by about 2". Won't be able to use your hard wheel cover but the tow hitch will clear fine.

Whilst I am unable to help regarding your hitch questions I'm very curious to how you go regarding the vehicle auction.
Could you leave a post here regarding how much the Paj goes for? As it's the sort of vehicle I would be interested in updating to in the future.
Regards Andrew.

suggest you google governemnt auctions and find the Sydney Manheim Fowles auction 4wd and commercials. Copy the catalogue and dump it to MS Word and save. Do this today Tuesday. It will disappear by Wednesday morning,

I will post what the Pajeroes actually auction for aftyer the auction. If you don't coppy the catalogue the prices will be irrelevant
