Hi Rabbitoh,
Nice choice, however no matter which brand you choose, can i suggest that you trial one first. Everyone has an opinion of what is the best or what suits you, however it would be wise to try it overnight as a minimum.
If you give us an idea of your location, we might be able to suggest a close location to check them out, or someone who has one. (i guess South
Sydney :))
Hope that helps.

Excellent advice Andrew. I'm yet to meet any camper owner who didn't think that they had bought the perfect trailer for them yet a couple of years down the track more often sees them upgrading to something better :-)
All campers have their downsides & for the Kimberly it's their weight & ridiculously long drawbar but then for your particular needs Rabbitoh they may not be an issue.
Cheers Craig.......

Mackay?....i've heard of that place.
I have a house in Mackay and live in Cannonvale :) so might be able to help you out. Though the Rabbitoh reference is somewhat disturbing for us Northerners LOL
Can i ask what vehicle you are looking at towing it with? They are not light, though strong and have a good storage setup IMO.

Suggest you Google the Camper Trailer book by Collyn Rivers (note spelling), costs about $40.
Buy it, you will refer to it in the future especially for electrical upgrades and other modificatrions.
We are on our 2nd CT in a decade, (now a KK 2003
Kakadu) and what is perfect for you today may not be perfect in 5 years time with altered family circumstances. That is
well before you consider budgetary considerations.
Our KK is presently perfect for us, 5 years ago it would not have suited our then larger family.

A CT is like a house - in fact some folk do move in! - so think about how much room you need, to sit, sleep, store stuff and
cook.
What kind of kitchen layout do you like? A trad U shape?
Given the temps where you'll be, how much ventilation will you need?
Have to have Queen size bed or double OK?
So imagine yourself living in one, and spend half an hour at least moving round in it to see if its going to work. As posted, hiring is def. a good idea cos quick acquaintance can mislead and mistakes will cost and irritate.

Dear Rabbitoh,
Go the Bulldogs! On a serious note, when I was looking for my camper trailer I read everything I could get my hands on, checked out various websites & made numerous phonecalls. Decided on what I was sure was the perfect one for me & went to the Caravan &
Camping show in
Sydney & ended up buying a totally different brand of camper to what I had originally decided on. The shows are great to see the quality of the trailers, the set up and also to talk to the various company reps. I also got
mine about $3,000 cheaper from the show.
If you don't need 1 immediately, I highly recommend visiting one of the shows before you buy.
