Qldrrr
Hi All,
We are planning a trip from the Sunshine Coast, Qld through NT via all the usual tourist sights plus a few out of the way
places and our goal is to make it to
Broome. I have been doing some research into camping along the
Broome-
Cape Leveque road and would love some
feedback on favourite
places. We have a Toyota Prado and will be towing a Jayco Outback C/T and enjoy camping with little or no facilities. Also if anyone has any favourtie free/
bush camping spots throughout NT or northern WA, we would love to hear about them.
Cheers.

Heard good reports about
Beagle Bay, especially the tour of the old, decorated church. We stayed at
Middle Lagoon and can hardly wait to get back there - fabulous, natural coastal environment.

Hmmm, I suppose I will reply even though you won the Origin!!! As I type I can see the water at
Cape Leveque but it's thru the drizzle but the drizzle is now
clearing and the sun is coming out so we're off for a walk here at Gambanan
campground to the squeaky beach.. $30 a double no power but a zillion $ spot and there's only 2 other people. This spot is 10 km east of the much hyped Kooljaman with its min 2 night stay at $36/ night.
Walk the headlands at
Middle Lagoon where the hot showers work then visit
Chile Creek where the water is cold but the rocks are the weirdest you'll ever see.
We tow an O/B Dove with no problems on the atrocious 90km sandy section out of
Broome before you hit the glorious tar for the last 100km up to here. Mozzies are shockers but the locals just use Aeroguard!!!!!...... W

Warrie You stole my thunder.
Middle Lagoon is worth several days as a minimum, been there twice and will definitely return. Gambanan depending where you can get a camping spot (in the peak) really grows on you, we loved it. Gouldian finches there as
well at the water dish by the
toilet and shower block.
Hope you enjoyed Squeaky Beach.

Hello QLDrrr
No camping, but don't go past visiting
Lombadina partaking in their great little community and driving on their most amazing beach. As for camping,
Middle Lagoon individual bush
camp sites & Gambanan all the way.
