I was wanting to know if anyone knows a good kid friendly 4wd club around the northern beaches of
Sydney.

Club Search
James M
The link above will take you to 4WD NSW & ACT Web site where you will be able to find all Clubs.
There is a 4WD Adventure Show at Eastern Creek from 27th to 29th August that will exhibit many of the
Sydney Clubs and give you a fair idea of what they are and do, the show is being run by the Association. $10 per adult and kids free up to 15.
I would suggest that you attend a couple of Club meetings to make sure that they fit what you want, then possibly join in on an event or trip as a guest then decide. I don't think that you will regret joining a Club.
Good luck..

James, Tony's advice is spot on.
Be sure to ask lots of questions of prospective clubs, as some clubs have limited interests.
IE: some clubs are limited to the brand of vehicle they represent and require you to leave the club if you change your brand of vehicle, some clubs do a lot of extreme adventures, some clubs don't like camper trailers on trips. The list goes on, so be sure about the club before joining, most clubs will allow you to do two trips and likewise some meetings before requiring you to join, some clubs will ask you to join there and then at the show, resist that temptation and
check them out first.
Ask about what trips they do and where, what
driver training they have in place, their attitude to children and pets etc. their age demographics will tell you a lot, our club has members from 17 through to 75 and they all get along
well together, this will demonstrate their family friendliness to some degree.
DO NOT
sign up on the day, try the club out first.
Good luck with your search. Colin.

Hey James, we are members of the Pathfinders' Club of Australia and love it for the kid friendly/family orientated atmosphere. Most of the members start of with Pathfinders, but we now have a big variety of vehicles, from tritons to daihatsus and a few Patrols.
We have 3 kids and generally on weekends away we have about 10 kids. Often the women will do the driving and we encourage it.
While a few people might be turned off by all the kids and the lack of big 'mud runs', we find that is what most people love about our club.
Drop me a line and I will send you out some info, or look on our
