There is a caravan
park run by the local station owners and not a bad spot. We stayed last year and were impressed with it. It would get busy in the silly season.

Hi Merv,
stayed at 80 mile caravan
park 2 weeks ago. Was pretty busy but we opted for unpowered and got a good spot right on the dunes, away from the crowds near the rangers house. Met a few EO members and generallly everyone was pretty friendly.
Another spot further north is BarnHill. Other than these 2 spots I'm not sure about caravan access.

Hi Mervyn p, there is another spot a bit south of 80 mile beach. I think it is called Cape Kenaudron. the turnoff is just sound of the sandfire roadhouse. The road in is ok for a van. You will have to pay an entry fee to the
ranger on the way in. There are several
camping spots - some suitable for large motor homes. No facilities so you will need to be self sufficient. Beach fishing from several sites, at least one beach
boat ramp and a little estuary also. Can get very windy though and no shade to speak of. We didn't fish there- just went for a stikky beak and check it out for future reference. Others camped there had been fishing with mixed results.Cheers, doc.

G'day Merv
This may be taken as "hear say" because I actually did not catch any fish off the 80 mile beach. A good mate was recently away on a fishing/
camping trip and managed to entice a few fish (Salmon ~ I believe) onto his hooks.
He also said there were several Whales doing their thing just off the coast.
He spent a few days at
Pardoo Station and also at Cape Keraudren which are basically at the southern end of the 80 mile beach on the
Pilbara coastline.
Both
Pardoo Station and Cape Keraudren are caravan friendly and
camping is a pay and stay affair. I've been to and stayed at both
places over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
No I did'nt see the fish ~ just heard the stories !!

Hey Merv,
Your a long way from home and I'm very jealous. I think it was 2 degrees when I went to work this morning. We stayed at 80 mile beach caravan
park when we were up that way. Was a great spot and very friendly. The fishing is fantastic if the fish are bitting and if they are not..
well that was the way it was when we were there. A great spot to stay at and I think you would enjoy it. By the way I got 4 Atlantic salmon around 55cm and a 62cm
Rainbow trout out of
Lake Barrington couple of weeks ago, the hobie is going
well. So how have the travels up north been going? Hope your still enjoying being on the road.
Have fun
Josh

G'day Merv,
I was at 80 Mile Beach Caravan
Park last week. A top spot but we copped some windy weather and the fishing went quiet. Still managed to catch a couple of Catfish. There were 40 odd Salmon caught the day we arrived and a couple of 25lb Mulloway as
well. Big tide there so you can only fish the two hours before and after high tide, after that there is no
water. The
shop is good and has basic supplies including fishing gear and bait. Good luck!
