I'm stuck in conversation with an old mate of mine and we were reminiscing about old TV shows while growing up. One that sprung to mind was an old show that showed the birth of Australia and it's past. It was called "As time goes by" and aired on GTS BKN in rural SA. The opening score was a song by the same name as on Casablanca.

Anyway.. the question I have is that during the opening credits, there was old Black and White/Sepia footage of a bloke in a suit holding his hat and skipping/spinning down a street. Almost what you'd expect to see in post war celebrations. Perhaps Sydney or somewhere. Who knows.

Trying to find a photo, screen capture or anything on this bloke is coming up negative even on Google....argh. Apparently these images shot this guy to fame..but where is he now???

Just a comment to all regarding titling of your posts - in this case, Fab has started with O/T. If YOU think it is offtopic, why are you posting it? Answer: because you suspect that it is relevant to discuss with this audience - and you are right, your post is within reason so there was no need to put OT in the title and has perhaps unnecessarily grabbed the attention of the modsquad. Let's not bother with writing OT in future headings - thanks all.
