IMHO you could take a camper trailer in . When I was there a coupleof years ago the road in was heavily corrugated and a guy in front of us broke a spring centre bolt and main leaf on his camper with the result that the axle turned 90degrees.
There are no clearance reasons not to take a camper trailer as long as you take it slowly. the road is unlikley to be much better now as it follows the river bed in.

I agree - take it easy and have spare parts. Especially a spare leaf spring and centre bolt.
I was there a few years ago and a great little
oasis in the middle of nowhere.

We took our caravan in to the
camp ground with no problems; just took it slowly. It was very dry when we were there in 2008.
However you cannot take a trailer on the track into
Palm Valley itself - but you wouldn't want to anyway.
A lovely
camp ground. We stayed an on a third night just to enjoy it.

No problems. I took my camper trailer in.
As always, drive to the conditions & you wont break anything.

Took our camper trailer in there back in July. The track is sandy as it mainly follows the
Finke river. No problems at all, the
camp ground was full of trailers, and the best bit was, they all cleared out the following morning so we had the place to ourselves until late afternoon.

Easy run in there mate !
Great campground, but the solar heaters were not working last year, but I had a cold shower anyway.
Well worth it
Cheers

Don't let this
sign freak you out, its only about half an hour from this point.
Easy dr and often graded to help out the constant stream of tour buses.

Yes you most certainly can. I was there in July when the Finke was flowing nicely so the
water crossings were longer but none were deep except for the last crossing that I came across about 1 km from the actual
Palm Valley that is not that deep really. That's after the campground so by then you should have parked yourself in the campground anyway. I saw several campervans and trailers that made the journey easily.
I am an experienced although very timid 4wder so when I saw the
sign saying "extreme 4wd conditions" at the beginning, I was more than somewhat perturbed but my only problem was on one crossing (the second or third you will encounter), that curves across the river so the exit point was not obvious when I first came across it. I just walked the route first with
water at below knee height and I'm about 170 cm (5'7" in the old language) so its not deep. If there is no
water there will be no problem.

Thats what the road looked like a few years ago.
And as said it is the section after the
camping area that is not suitable for trailers. this section is just to drive further down the valley to the walking
trails.
And get in early as the
camping area fills up quick if you want a good spot.

Yep re the above - took our 18' offroad caravan in to the campground a few weeks back - quite straight forward - clearance not an issue - some stones, some sand, some shallow
water but nothing to trouble careful outback tourers :-o).
