yes my son & I hired one a few years ago at Jabaru (I/2 day) compared to a plane flight you see so much more & to hover 500' above some of the most breath taking sites & to look up at some of the sites as you fly thru
the gorge's, we now on all trips try to get a chopper flight over the main attractions yes they are expensive but worth every cent
when booking try not to book tourist rides as they are to give you a bit of a look at the maximum $ per person we always book by the whole chopper by the Hour as this always works out cheaper & you spend a lot more time in the Air & if its a little R44 go without the doors so much better & photos will be too

We did an hours flight which was quite good Cost about $450 for 2
The helicopter price was double the plane cost pp so didnt bother.
Saw all we wanted to but didnt go down in the gorges.

Hi, The wife and myself plus one other lady did a 70minute flight in a Robson R44 this morning over
Kakadu. Cost was $495.00 per person and
well worth the cost. Magic without the doors on and they fly right down in the gorges. Its a one off thing i have always wanted to do and all the Waterfalls were running heaps of
water.
Can cross that one off the list. Duke

Its a great way to see it & you can see
the arch, by plane its just a dot but doug don't stop there
Katherine gorge, bungle bungles ETC My best chopper ride/flight was in the bungle bungles in the late 70's & they dropped us off on the top of one, all three of us on a different hives & all alone it was orssum

The
Jabiru airstrip is on the
Ranger Mine road. There is a couple of Company's do the chopper rides and plenty of fixed wing aircraft. The
young bloke who took us up had 5 more flights for the day.Its like the
Sydney airport the amount of planes and choppers.Duke
