Hi Peter
I have the same problem - I posted a query here a couple of weeks ago, although I had a couple of reply's from members having the same problem I received the following reply from Adele.

Hi Mike,
I’ve had a chat to the site developer and as we have not had this problem reported by anyone else, the problem must be associated with the set-up of your particular browser, please ensure you are using the most updated version of your browser, if you are/install updates and the site still doesn’t work, please try downloading an alternative browser such as Google Chrome, and try it again.
Regards
Adele Scala

I have an updated browser, so am unwilling to go to an alternative browser such as Google Chrome. Have you checked Westprint they have some good info on a lot of treks
Cheers 4 now
Mike

Tracker was not loading for me last night either. Just tried again this morning, and it sits on "Loading" for a while (up to 5 mins) then I gave up. Last night I noticed as an error in the section that is normally the map.

As per equinox - do a browser refresh and let me know how this goes!

I can force the browser to pick up an updated script but need to know if it foxes it before I force the browser updates.

I also had the same problem and reported it, but so far no fix. What version of IE are you using? I have found that with one computer on our network, which is running Windows XP and IE8 Treks will not load, use Google Chrome and is ok. On another network computer running Windows7 and IE9 Treks loads, so maybe the problem is with IE8. So if runnning IE8 it may be worth updating to IE9

I have tried this and still no go, the page takes a lot longer to load but still will not load the base map. This will happen for any page that has the base map on it, Treks, Places or EO trackme.. Don't know if this will help but this is the error details I get from clicking on the error message bottom right of IE, there is three different error messages one each from Treks, Places & EO Trackme.

Chris,
Do you have some Internet security product loaded, or an ad blocker enabled? If yes please try to disable these and let me know what happens?

It should not be IE 8 as this is on my machine and is one of the well tested platforms. The messages you are getting above would show that your browser is NOT loading some of the required script libraries and this is normally and ad blocker or security setting in the browser or security package.

The other thing to try is a reset of IE - Tools - Advanced - Reset button at the bottom and see how this goes.

Let me know how you go.

Peter I have just got back from a trip to Darwin. We loaded trackme in Sydney seemed OK when we got to Cobar NSW I looked on the map to see our track only to find a straight line from Dubbo to Cobar. From there I got nothing at all and gave up at Broken Hill. I am using my iPhone & running it in the background but found it all too hard and just gave up, I feel a lot of others have done just that too.

Cheers Colin

And yes the base map loaded when it felt like it, not when I wanted it to.

Colin,
Interested in your feedback - I have used the iPhone version and it worked really well provided the number of points to store was set high enough. This is controlled in the uTrackme program - accessed via the iPhone Settings App.

Also I am sus what happens when you turn off the phone/app before the updates have gone to the server. I must do some additional testing of uTrackme (this is not my app but one that seems to work for the EOTrackMe system).

I've experienced the same issue. My PC is running the newest version of Firefox. Last night the member tracking would not load at all. Tonight it started off the same, but then I hit the refresh and it worked OK.

Howard,
I would suggest you try a clear history/cache operation in IE 8. Tools - Internet Options - Browsing History - Delete and accept the defaults and see what happens.

If this is no good I would recommend you try reseting Internet Explorer - Tools - Advanced - Reset button at the bottom. See how this goes.

Also can you try disabling your Internet Security program (if you have one) and see if it works with this disabled.

Please everyone - do a REFRESH/RELOAD in your browser when you are on the mapping page. Then let me know how this goes.

If this does not work try holding down the CTRL key and pressing refresh.

Let me know how this goes.
