Hi J & D,
We travelled across there in May June, There is Fuel available in Boulia $ 1.65, Jervois Station $ 2.40 and Harts Range and Gemtree not sure about the price at those 2 we didn't fuel there as from Jervois we had Plenty to get to Alice towing a camper trailer.
The Donaghue Highway to the border was fine but once on the Plenty it was pretty rough although they were working on it, but with the traffic going to the Finke races it was cutting up quite badly with large patches of bulldust.

We travelled through in May four 4x4s all towing, road was in good condition and fuels not a problem we only filled up once at Jervois homestead, also there is good camping on the property with loos and showers. Gemtree was low on fuel at the time but only because the tanker had not arrived, but stop there and get scones and Tea or Coffey even if you do not need fuel. Have a great trip and take your time, and have a look around the country side is looking fantastic. John C
