Murray river

Hi everyone we are heading down to the Murray river area for some relaxing and fun . In October
so would like to no where you have stayed ,what you thought etc.
just towing our old girl tprgee camper , family of five would love to find a camping area with toilet .coming from Sydney only going as far as Deniliquin .
shower would be great ?

No Murray River at Deni, Picnic Point near Mathoura is a great spot.

Thanks for that . i meant we are travelling along the Murray and only going as far as Del area, so any where from Albury to Del area for information on camp sites along the Murray would be great

Start your trip at Jingellic. Free camp right on the river behind the pub, use pubs amenities, toilets , showers for a small fee. Excellent spot, bring own wood for camp fire.

Thanks for that mchapo ..this trip is all new to us. so its nice to no where others have been . we are always going north from Sydney so this will be a nice change

Hi Fiona wife and I camped behind the pub at Jingelliic a few years ago good spot Went into the pub for a steak they were that big we had to walk around the village to digest them.
Anyhow have a good trip

Just to inform but not to worry you...the Murray at present is running rather fast and dirty...so fishing is not going to be very good....you should try ringing a local tourist office , they are usually very helpful and will update you with the prevailing conditions....cheers

The Murray runs across my backyard (it is my back fence) and it is pretty full at the moment but slowly falling.

You can check river heights on the BOM site here.

Just hit the next/previous station links to travel up or down the river.
