when ever I try to load the App I get an error message I sent an Email to Mud Map yesterday morning but have not herd back from them as yet. just wondering if anybody has had the same issue and how did you solve the problem.

Hi,
I had issues with COPILOT similar to yours but on an iPad.
What I did is go back to iTunes and reinstalled.
When I went to iTunes it indicated that it was installed but let me do it again.
May be VMS will work the same.
Hope you sort it out,
Richard

Andrew,
Can't help you with the VMS app problem, but a new version of CoPilot is available for the iphone.
I have recently upgraded from CoPilot Live 8 to CoPilot Premium. The cost was $29.95.
My iphone app is only used on occasions when I don't have TomTom with me.

Hi Guy's
As you have suggested I have tried to download the App again.
will not allow me to download from the computer that my Iphone is Sync'ed to and every time it I try and download it directly to the IPhone it falls over Probably due to the size of the App 2GB
I Know what you are saying Bill the App you suggest sounds good but as I paid $199.00 for the VMS App I dont want to let them get off that easy.
I went for the VMS app as i have one of the units installed in my rig

I had a differrent problem with the same app when I upgraded.
I emailed Apple support and four or five emails later they sorted it out and I successfully downloaded the app again. They said there would be no charge but there was! Of course I wasn't impressed but another email and it was credited. They respond within 24 hours but seem to cut and paste standard paras so you need a little patience to get a specific answer. For a $199 app it is worth a couple of days of emails!
Good luck, and BTW the upgrade to v3 in VMS is excellent particularly on iPad.

Hi Andrew,
I think by now the new version of the VMS app should be available and resolve any issues.
We use it on the ipad with windscreen/dash holder and have had great success.
The new version allows landscape
views so the ipad doesn't obstruct vision so much, or block the aircon! The VMS app has replaced all other nav devices as we have found the detail, accuracy and versatility far out performs all others. This year we used it along side TomTom, IGO, OZI, Hema etc and decided that the new VMS app is a one stop
shop in the bush.
Good luck

Andrew
A bit ot but I will ask anyway. Does the VMS work if you do not have wireless access? Like in the bush.

Hi Phil,
Yes it Basically turns your Iphone / IPad into a hand held GPS unit.
Its a great APP even better now with the update they have just done works better and is more reliable than the unit I have in Max's which is disappointing as that unit cost me $3000.00.

I thought that it may have needed the internet to run.
We have the in-dash unit and do not have any problems with it. Shame you find yours has problems. The in-dash setup makes it a bit harder to steal than an iphone.
No worries

I have it installed on my ipad, great app downloads the maps onto the device so no need for internet, and you can also download more maps, from the app if you need more, but what is loaded on the app is fairly comprehensive.
A little bit of information on car mounts for the Ipad. I have a ram mount, it bolts on to one of your
seat mounts and has a flexible arm which brings the Ipad to dash level, no blockage of the windsreen and works a treat. Bought it from GPS OZ in
Sydney.
All the best Warren

Hi Warren
I have seen those mounts and for my money I would hate to be near it in a prang. And navigator won't have one either. But with the unit in the dash we have all we need.
Actually to tell the truth, we are not interested in getting even a laptop. Let alone an iPad. But go for your life.
