Pretty sure you can Jenny as I have seen many along the way. You can't take it into any National Park though. Cheers,Bob

We just did the Darling River Run from Wentworth to Brewarrina in September. Call the Wentworth Information Centre to check about the dog as a lot of the run is in the Paroo Darling National Park. We found the office very informative. We had great camps all the way.

Paroo Darling National Park is not along the Darling River road, besides in many cases to get from A to B you you might pass through a NP , quite a few times my little Dusty went to Jabiru, so to get there he had to pass through Mary River and Kakadu NP's. Dogs are legal in Jabiru.
