Head off new years day to Straddy , Leaving
Melbourne and heading to
Sydney for the first stop . Now I am looking to stop somewere between
Sydney and the
Gold coast for the second night . Does anyone have any good ideas for a nice place ?

If your looking for a quiet place to stop over and if you are into fishing, try a place called
Hat Head.just north of Kempsey on the coast between Southwest Rocks and Cresent Heads and not as many tourists there either.Great little club there too!

Hat Head!!!!!! Horrible little place. Nothing to but but take in the beautiful scenery, great
lagoon and club.

There is a little town 35km south of
Coffs Harbour off the highway called
Mylestom.
North beach caravan
park is the place to stay. 1
general store and a bowling club. 4wd on
the beach to the best fishing spots. I'll be there this Christmas.

I must say , 4wd'ing on
the beach and fishing has me thinking lol , do you have a number for the caravan
park ? I might call to see if there are any cabins available

I will be doing day trips to Straddie , staying at Diamond beach resort . Ill be keeping taks through out our trip so we can give you more info on dates as time gets closerVenus Bay

By the way .... where's Diamond Beach Resort ?? Is that at
Coffs Harbour.. never heard of it in this neck of the woods. If so .. bloody long way to go for a day trip. You'd need to get an early start :-D

Diamond beach resort , is in Broadbeach (Goldcoast ) Ussually takes us 1 Hr to the ferry
