need to go to sunshine coast for personal reasons tomorrow and was thinking
Tamworth /gleninnes/
Warwick will have lap top and keep checking rta live traffic but due to the emergency any local input could be helpful

Road is open, but when you get to Dubbo head to
Tamworth via Dunedoo/Coolah as
(1) is the quickest way anyway
(2) the Oxley Highway is cut between Gunnedah and
Tamworth. From Coolah head about 40km north, turn right towards Quirindi/Premer, then just after the village of Caroona turn left to Werris Ck/
Tamworth. This road was cut a couple of days ago (@ Werris Ck Gap) but should now be open.
NE Highway is down to single lane at a
bridge 15km north of
Tamworth but there are traffic lights controlling it.

I would suggest that you go to Sydne via the Hume, around
Sydney on Highway 7 then up the Pacific Hwy to
BrisbaneCheckhttp://livetraffic.rta.nsw.gov.au/desktop.html
and Qld roads on
http://highload.131940.qld.gov.au/

If you even go onto the RTA site it will send you from
Sydney via
Tamworth. The Pacific Highway is very slow with a lot of towns with lights and road works with stoppages.
I have often been up the Newell to Dubbo then
Dunedoo, Werris Creek
Tamworth to
Warwick then
Brisbane.
Give the Pacific the big miss.

There is flooding on th Newell and at
Tamworth the road is blocked and will be damaged when it opens
We went up and down several times last year. We often go down the Newell and come back the Hume/Pacific. and the Hume & Pacific dual carrigeway except
Holbrook ) the bypass is nearly complete) and Buladelah
Have a good trip and stay clear of the flooded towns as he water is record height this year
