What is YOUR idea of the Kimberley.

Hi folks,

When you think of the Kimberley, what immediately springs to mind?

I have been assigned the task to think of a logo, that best represents the Kimberley.

I have been thinking boab trees, crocodiles, barra, waterfalls, red earth, hills, but as i have lived here my entire life i feel i may be blind sighted.

What logo/icon do you think would make you think "THE KIMBERLEY" immediately when you saw it?

Of course im open to any suggestions, but it will have to be able to be worked into a logo somehow. Designers are magical creatures though so im sure anything is possible.

Thanks alot for any suggestions

what i think of is a ....bloody long drive from here!

Crocs/barra is darwin. warterfalls is kakadu.

Go with Boab trees (FWIW I am from Sydney and have visted there only twice)

what is brief on the market? Is it local, national, international?

Crocs, waterfalls. red earth. barra all exist elsewhere but the Boab Tree is distinctly Kimberley. When I see a Boab image I think Kimberley, even though there are some in NT.

Cheers

Mitchell Falls.

I saw a Kakadu Advert on TV last night. I'm in the middle of planning a Kimberley trip and thought the Kimberley needed a bit of recognition too.

Kulumburu and fishing the lower Ord.

Kind regards

Muntoo

For me, the Kimberley is unpredictable Wet that only lets you in to it's hidden places when it feels like it.

Been twice but have to go again as we still haven't got to all the good bits.

Long way from Newcastle tho!

Just as i thought.

Thank the lord that i dont take these things for granted.

I think the same as all of you.

I reckon The Boab is a definite winner, and very easy to work into a logo.
Red earth/red gorges is also another winner. Clear beautiful sunsets and starry nightskys are something i enjoy here too, so am hoping to work in the sunset with some of the red earth and clear blue skies.

See how it goes, thanks all for your thoughts and suggestions.
