Will be from Kings Canyon, over to
Palm Valley. We want to
camp there and was wondering whether anyone had been there lately and is it ok to take a camper trailer in. I have heard conflicting reports, camper is a
Tambo Off Road.

If you don't happen to get a first hand report here, try phoning the
ranger's office - they are very helpful ....... Finke

Took our TVan in there last year - no problems in getting to the
campground. The track only gets rough between the
campground and the valley and you don't need to tow it there. Can't imagine its changed.

Hi Scott,
I towed my van into the
campground in July. I wouldn't think it would cause you any problems. There were probably a dozen trailers in there at that time.

Yea, you will have no problems. Try and do the long walk at the valley,
well worth the effort.
Below are some photos of the road and the
camp ground.

Hi Scott
Accessing the
campground is not a problem towing although it needs to be taken slowly and conditions can vary if the
Finke River has flowed. We went with our full caravan.
You cannot tow beyond the
campground for the drive to the Valley of Palms and in hindsight we should have parked at the Valley of Cycads and walked the last kilometre as this was the slowest going, particularly when negotiating the rocks with the long wheel base of our F250. I have a description in My
Blogs from 2008.

We were there in '09.
Easy to get into, a couple of soft spots on the way in.
Campground is awesome, but it's best to walk into the Valley itself, and enjoy it, but you can drive to the Valley if necessary. It's 2-3km from what I can remember
Cheers
