Hi,
Going to free camp where possible along the Murray on the way home from Adelaide to Nambucca Heads. Would really appreciate some info on spots to go to, especially with facilities such as showers and toilet.
Cheers,
Rod

Hi Rod. There is a park some 150 ks from Renmark, near Wentworth called Port Courage. Right on the Murray. 2 adults are $20 p/n + $5 for each child. Plenty of free camps nearby to Wentworth/Curlwaa area but no toilets or showers. Cheers,Bob

Have a look at Mannum. Free camping on the Eastern side of the river and would be a good first night camp from Adelaide

Hi Rod

We did a bit of free camping along the Murray a couple of months ago. Sites we found okay were :

Martins Bend campground at Berri
Gunbower State Forrest at Koondrook
Forges Beach near Yarrawonga

All these are good for a few days or more.

A lot of the NSW side was closed to vehicles due to flooding however this may have cleared by now.

Happy camping

John & Helen
