This is one of 3
camping sites in the Kroombit National
Park.
The Razorback camping area features a secluded small
camping area in a tall blackbutt forest setting. The
camping area is accessible by four-wheel-drive. Suits
camping in tent and high clearance camper trailer
camping beside your vehicle - parks site says maximum of 6 people per
camp site but the ExplorOz team inspection of site in July 2026 showed insufficient space for more than 1 setup. Facilities are not provided — campers must be fully self-sufficient. Use
good camp hygiene. Preferably bring a portable
toilet to minimise pollution in this area—dispose of
toilet waste appropriately. Alternatively, bury all
toilet waste at least 15cm deep and 100m from waterways, tracks and
camp sites.Open fires are permitted only in fire-rings provided, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Bring your own clean-milled timber for firewood. Fuel stoves are recommended to minimise impacts. Generators are not permitted.Essentials to bring include
drinking water; rubbish bags; portable
toilet;
toilet trowel/shovel; insect repellent; clean-milled timber for firewood. You must book your
camping permit before you arrive. Be aware that you cannot make a
camping booking at the
camping area—phone reception is very poor. Penalties apply for
camping without a permit
