Griffiths Creek Campground - QLD

Flat open grassed area about 100m from the banks of Griffiths Creek. From the camping area there is a link track to the Escarpment track walk.No facilities. No toilet. Nearest toilet at Kroombit Lookout Day Use Area. Use good camp hygiene. Preferably bring a portable toilet to minimise pollution in this area. Open fires are permitted only in fire-rings provided, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Bring your own clean-milled timber for firewood. Fuel stoves are recommended to minimise impacts.Generators are not permitted. Access by conventional vehicles in dry weather only via Tableland Road from the park's northern entrance. If you plan to tow a trailer, camper trailer or small caravan we recommend you use a four-wheel-drive vehicle to ensure your vehicle is suitable for towing on steep, loose gravel roads. You will need driving and towing skills for negotiating narrow, steep gravel roads with no turnaround options. The road is unsuitable for conventional 2WD vehicles towing a trailer, campervan or small caravan, and large caravans, motorhomes and buses.Alternative access for experienced 4wdrivers in high clearance 4wd with low range via Clewleys Gap Road (no towing caravans, high clearance offroadcamper trailers ok). Also 4wd vehicle access (no towing) via the Razor Back track via Biloela.
