The "Wharf" is one of 5
camping zones on Gangalidda and Garawa Native Title lands where a permit is required. A permit can be applied for online (immediate application) or in person at the
Burketown Visitor Centre.The "Wharf" is a largely flat and open area just 7km from town on bitumen road. Guttapercha and mangroves are the predominant vegetation with several
camp sites for self-contained caravans only.

The Wharf offers 7 designated, campsites from number 20 - 26. Read individual site information and book online.Facilities include concrete boat launching facilities, council
toilets and wheelchair accessible pontoon. Apply for fishing and

First Night : $35 per vehicle
Additional Night: $25 per vehicle to a maximum of 30 nights
Online application is immediate.Controlled dogs are permitted. Campfires are permitted. No firearms.
Be aware that estuarine crocodiles inhabit all waters in the Gulf including
Arthur River.
