Deans
Creek is a remote area, although only 12km from town. It is influenced by the tide so care should be taken not to cross the gutters. It is a dry season area only. Known for excellent fishing and with its open, flat area enables boat launching which halves the time to reach the mouth of the
Albert River (versus using the Truganini
Boat Ramp).There are 4 campsites which can be booked online, or in person at the
Burketown Visitors Centre. Take care due to the presence of estuarine crocodiles.
