camping right next to the pristine waters of
Jurien Bay Marine
Park within the
Ranger patrolled, Wanagreen
Nature Reserve. There are 15 campsites suitable for tents, rooftop and awning tents only and they must be booked online.
No access for camper trailers etc as the track is a single track with tight turns. All campsites are only suitable for campers who are completely self-sufficient and must have own portable/chem
toilet. Some sites on beachfront are rocky and unlevel and have no protection from SW winds but have
water views. Others are setback in more sheltered
parking bays on a flatter, sand base but with no
views. Absolutely no facilities provided so bring own
water, firewood and chem
toilet. Rangers check each day and will move on people without a chem
toilet. Campfires are permitted seasonally (usually April - October) and in provided fire rings only.
Wanagarren Campground is within a
nature reserve and there may be crawling insects including kangaroo ticks.Access to Wanagarren
Nature Reserve is via Indian Ocean Drive and
Grey Spur Road. Access to the campsites is for high-clearance four-wheel drive vehicles with low-range gears only. Reduce your tyre pressure for soft sand. There is no facility to re-inflate tyres on exit.Beware of oncoming vehicles, narrow sections and blind corners along the track.
