Environment

This route ventures deep into alpine country so seasonal track closures during winter will render this trip impassable at times. Signs and locked gates will confirm closures. Also see Parks Vic for further details.

In the high altitudes (1500m) you'll see Snow Gums and wildflowers; whilst in the lower altitudes you'll drive beneath the rainforest canopy with ferns fringing the track. The ever-changing altitude and scenery is a large part of the delight of a 4WD adventure through the Victorian High Country.

This route is definately not the faint-hearted and should only be attempted by very confident 4WDrivers (and passengers). Definately no trailers - due to extreme hill climbs, ruts and virtually no opportunties for reversing.
