We have been travelling around Australia since July 6th from Qld's Sunshine Coast and are now in Perth. We have our name The MALS in large letters on both our wheel cover and our camper trailer. We had Exploroz on our back window cover until it was blown off. Would you believe we have not met ANY EO members in all that time and over 14000km? I have checked in many parks and camping areas and have not seen any stickers. Where are you?????
We will be in Perth/Freeo for the next 5-6 days and then Mandurah-Margaret River-Albany-Esperance before Kalgoorlie. Hope we can meet some EOers out there.

Come on, they'll get their vehicles dirty and scratched if they take em out of the driveway.

Sadly that is the case - i have a EO wheel cover but car is in shed getting ready for next trip in 12 months and I certainly won't be able to get to wherever by next week - anyway if you happen to be in Alice next aug/sept let me know and we will have a chat.

Melbourne - Darwin - Melbourne and a lot of the sites in between, never saw a single sticker.
Perhaps people are expecting them to be a valuable commodity in years to come, thus prefering to leave them on the backing paper instead of on the car.

Ahhh well see you were too late and travelling in the wrong direction :-)

During April May you would have seen us if you were travelleing in SA or NT or QLD, and last month you would have seen us on Cape York. You have to look hard tho, as we have a sticker, not a wheel cover.

Everyone we chatted to knew what EO was.

Mals,

You could member message or email a couple of members direct as we did in Western Australia. Have found it good to be able to talk to members where ever and it gives them a point to contact when they come this way if they do....... Is best to contact ones that are online a bit as others may miss the message.

Hello The Mals - we've been wondering where you were. Keep travelling and enjoying. Think all the EO stickers have been over here!!

G'day.
I have been away since middle of July and just got home a week ago.
melb. > Sydney > Broken Hill > tiboburra > Innaminka > Birdsville > Simpson > Alice > Gary Junction Rd > CSR well 33 to well 23 > Newman > Mt. Augustus > Kennedy Ranges > Steep Point > Kalbarri > Lancelyn > Perth.
Then Perth > Karijini > Exmouth > Karijini > Port Hedland > Broome > Geiki Gorge > Gipp River Road > Mitchell Plateau > Kununurra > Prnunulu > Katherine > Kakadu > Ltchfield > Darwin then back down the Stuart Hwy. to get home to Geelong. 28000km

Have seen 3 cars with EO stickers but only got to talk to one of the people.

It's great to be home for a spell, but next month I'll be on the move again.

Cheers,
Mike

I would say most EO stickers are to be found in remote outback places and not along the highways of the country. With approximately 1 million travellers on the road and around 3000 EO stickers the ods are not in your favour to see them. Anyway good to hear you are having a good time.

I only have to step out of my place in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney to spot one, as reported here recently...

Hi MALS,

Great to hear of your travels and amazing you didn't see us, since we have been to at least half the same places as you! The only place we came across other EO members was in Birdsville, and even Ruth was away!! I also found that very few people had heard of it, somewhat to my amazement. I hope we have encouraged a few people to join.

Enjoy your travels
Cheers
Anni

Thanks for all your replies. Great to know that you are all still out and about in the great outdoors. Seven weeks to go. Just need to know a way to finance this lifestyle forever!! Any suggestions apart from trying lotto would be appreciated. The Mals
