Hi
I am trying to remember the name of a property which I think allows
camping or maybe does bed and breakfast. It is located near
Rolleston between
Injune and
Rolleston on the right heading south.
Does anybody know the name and any info?
Thanks
Paul

Possibly Warrembena Farm Stay, somewhere near
Injune, close enough to stay & visit
Carnarvon Gorge, hosts Bill & Caroline, phone 07-4626-7175. Some info was posted to this website on 06/05/06.

Can't help you ... but whilst you mention
Rolleston, I just got back (to
Adelaide) from Springsure/Rolleston/
Emerald this afternoon ...
don't even dream that you might get food in the town, and I would recommend not supporting the "General Store" at all.
I haven't seen such a grumpy outfit in years ... I did spend $54 on fuel there as part of my "if I don't support them they won't be here when I need them" policy, but now severely regret it.
No service. No food and they directed me to the
toilets in the
park down the road (I guess they knew I had visited India and thought that Indian style ablutions had rubbed off) when they had their own they could have directed me to.
Lots of unexplored country up that way I reckon ... I spent some time on Goodliffe Station - I know they have had visitors before too - great mountain backdrop and nice country, and spent two weeks in the
Injune-
Rolleston-
Springsure-
Tambo-
Alpha-
Emerald area including the
Gemfields which has great variety and interest.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Andrew
Thanks. Its disapointing when you have a bad experience in a place. At least the good experiences make up for it.
