Start of Smith Creek Trail starts from the end of Booligal Road in Terrey Hills with limited
parking. It's an easy grade hike that will take 1-2 hrs to cover a distance of 5.8km return (out and back). No dogs, no MTB bikes. Although it’s a wide firetrail, which often makes for fairly boring walking, this is one of the nicer bushwalks in the area. The track is mostly flat, before descending at the end to the creek. It’s not a steep descent, and there’s nice
sandstone rock formations and ferns along the firetrail. Near the end you can see a creek below the trail. At the bottom is a large, open grassy area with an informal
campsite in the middle. A muddy path leads to the tidal and mangrove-lined creek, which flows into Cowan Creek.
