SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for DAMAGING WIND and LARGE HAILSTONES
For people in parts of the
Central Highlands and Coalfields and
Central West Forecast Districts.
Issued at 12:39 pm Thursday, 15 December 2011.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones
in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected
include
Isisford,
Barcaldine,
Tambo,
Blackall,
Springsure and Mantuan Downs.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Maranoa and
Warrego district
and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
Issued at 6:07 pm Thursday, 15 December 2011.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, very heavy rainfall,
flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include
Emerald,
Clermont,
Barcaldine,
Capella,
Alpha, Bogantungan,
Comet,
Jericho,
Aramac and
Muttaburra.

Here in
Winton, about 11am, it was looking "odds-on" to storm this arvo, Doug, but when I went out after "servicing my eyelids", near 3pm, it'd all blown away. Had even hung out the washing, as an incentive too.
Been some good, but patchy falls over the west lately, and most of the creeks and rivers have had some sort of a run in them. In fact, the run from here to
Barkly Homestead looks pretty good, all the way.
