The skyline traverse route is not marked and it is extremely difficult to follow without detailed knowledge of the route. Sections of
cliff along this route require rope work to undertake them safely. Do not attempt this route without climbing ropes and experience in using ropes.
Part of the track cross very steep and slippery rocks, which are dangerous when wet. Do not attempt this track when it is wet or likely to become wet This route passes through very dense vegetation and narrow
rock squeezes, large backpacks will make travel slower and more difficult. This route will take between six hours and two days, depending on fitness and familiarity with the route. Ensure adequate time food, water and shelter to complete the route. There is no reliable drinking water on the route. This is a severe
hazard area .
