There are five main written sections in a trek note and they are: Description, Permits, Preparation, Environment and History. Description is an informative overview of the trek. If permits are needed, a write-up in this section may incorporate permit information, costs and contact details. Preparation may include some of the equipment needed, safety considerations and any other information that will help make the trek a safe and pleasant one. Environment may outline the landscapes and the fauna and flora encountered. Last but not least, History may be included with examples of European
explorers, Aboriginal cultural
heritage and maybe some town history.
